Cardiorenal Lab at the Spanish Society of Hypertension Congress 2018
Cardiorenal Translational Laboratory Group members attended the Spanish Society of Hypertension (SEH-LELHA) congress 2018 held in Zaragoza on 15-16th March 2018.
Our PhD student Elena Rodríguez-Sánchez did an excellent job presenting an oral communication on resistant hypertension titled "Matrix metalloproteinase-9 activity determines the early response to treatment with spironolactone in resistant hypertension" and a poster on lifetime cardiovascular risk titled "Oxidative status associates with lifetime cardiovascular risk in young-middle age subjects", thanks to which she won one of the Best Poster Awards.
We are also very happy to announce that our Group Leader Dr. Luis M. Ruilope was named as Honorific Member of the Spanish Society of Hypertension, a recognition for his career devoted to improve cardiovascular health.
